Performance issues in matlab

I am working on Voice Recogintion project in Matlab.I am Facing Performance issues in Matlab.My matlab code takes 10 mins to excute 30 sec Video.How can i increase My Performance for excution? Kindly help me

Use a different algorithm perhaps.
