Errors regarding stewart platform

1. Where can we find and what does 'pos_base and body _pts' mean exactly?
2. Does' nominal leg length' literally mean length of the leg?
3. We made an example using sm_import_stewart_platform which uses ball joints while the example we referred to uses universal joints. Is it ok if we still use ball joints?
We made a stewart platform simulink simulation using the solidworks program, while referring to sm_import_stewart_platform. After copying the files to simulink, we tried tto make a simulation. However while making a simulation, we have run into some problems.
