Matlab syms function producing error

Everytime I try to use syms I keep getting this error in MatLab

I suspect that you need to reinstall

I'm unable to reproduce this behaviour.Please share the output of ver command.

This error almost always relates to mupad libraries needing to be reinstalled. However on Linux systems hypothetically there could be a compatibility problem with system libraries that might require installing some libraries.)
