Matlab 2019b crash on Fedora 31

When I start matlab I get
*** buffer overflow detected ***: /usr/local/MATLAB/R2019b/bin/glnxa64/MATLAB terminated
Should I replace gcc runtime with gcc runtime from Fedora 31

I had the same problem. The crash seems to be cause by package pcsc-lite. I upgraded it myself to upstream version 1.8.26. This solves the problem for me. See
