Reading NITFs with multiple image segments

I'm using nitfread to pull images out of a NITF with multiple image segments. MATLAB reads the first image fine, but gets a garbled mess for the remaining frames. Has anyone else used nitfread successfully in this situation? It seems like maybe nitfread is looking in the wrong place within the file. Envi opens the NITF file fine.
