I have cutoff frequency 0.2 Hz. I want to design a pair of lowpass FIR and IIR filters(any filter type is ok).

How can I plot the magnitude spectrums of the signal before and after filtering out the one or two high frequency components.

You need to take the Fourier transforms of both signals.
