Mil-STD-188-110B: change input and capture output?

1. The demo 110B transmitter and receiver uses a boolean generator for input. I want it to read text from the workspace for input. How would I do that?
2. I want to capture the modulated sine wave from the transmitter into a wav file, then input that into the receiver, saving the original text input to the workspace. Is this possible?
