What is the equivalent to MATHCAD's Given-Find

I have bunch of MATHCAD examples that were done in 15.0 with the Given - Find functionality in MATHCAD. They are from the Analysis and Design of Energy Systems by Hodge and Tylor. I believe the Given - Find is now called a solve block in MATHCAD Prime.
An example of this is at the 30 seocnd mark of the video from https://www.mathcad.com/en/capabilities on Solving Systems of Equations
I'm looking to do the same in MATLAB, but at a loss where to start in MATLAB for this type of solving of equations defined within equations.
Any help or direction appreciated.

Could you show an example of equation you are trying to solve?
Hi Madhan, please see example from textbook below

The picture above is an example from the Taylor book, Figure 1-14 and 1-15.
What is getting me is the way that the Reynold Number, and Friction Factors are defined in figure 1-14, and then used in the Given-Find block in Figure 1-15.
There are two different pipes, hence the summation in the Given-Find Block.
I have this running on MATHCAD on my work PC, but looking to do it with MATLAB as the University is getting rid of MATHCAD.
