Can Matlab Partial differential equation Toolbox solve a heat transfer problem involving a fluid flow inside a 2D or 3D structure?

Since Matlab Differential Equation Toolbox uses the finite element method as a core engine to perform heat transfer analysis, I want if this toolbox will be able to do a transient heat transfer across a slab of certain thickness due to an embedded fluid flow motion?

Hi, a little late maybe but although the PDE Toolbox doesn't support Navier-Stokes or CFD simulations you can simulate coupled fluid flow and heat transfer in Matlab with the FEATool and CFDTool toolboxes. This model of a heat exchanger with convective flow might be relevant to your case:
