Width of vessels (scattered data points)

Hi,

I am trying to get some morphological information about scattered data. I ideally would like the width of each branch. Is there anyway to do this via nearest neighbor sosearch or any other method? so the image below should have 3 branch of different width or 2 (with tolerances)
