Hello everyone !
Im writing to you at a great hour of need, im in a bit of a pinch since ive gotten a task, where I need to introduce any simple metal artifact reduction algorithm/kernel so to speak.
Perhaps there's a kind soul that could explain, guide me to good material or even provide an example simple code in order how to achieve this. For multiple days ive tried to gather information regarding this topic and the task seems to revolve around altering the Sinogram which one should be able to acquire using the radon function and after processing the sinograms to use the iradon (or filtered back projection) to interpolate the image back together.
I know this is quite a vague explanation, due to me having very little matlab comprehension regarding filter applications.
I have a data set of CT images with metalic artifacts in them, and I was wondering whether or not its really even possible to implement such a artifact reduction for my images?
Any help is GREATLY appreciated.
Any simple Code examples would mean the WORLD to me.

So far I have only managed to produce the sinogram using the radon, any help regarding the sharp white streat reduction would be appreciated ( what filter could be used to achieve this).
