how to compand the complex valued signal

how do i over come this error in matlab R2020a

Look in the Algorithms section, which gives the formulas. Those formulas can be used on complex valued signals.

do we have to write the matlab code for implementing the compander by using the equations given in the algorithms section. is it not possible to implement by using the compand function in matlab r2020
