No. MATLAB Student licenses must be purchased by the Student who will own the license.

Universities can license Academic licenses and permit students to use them.

The main ways that Universities can obtain Academic licenses for student use are:

• Total Academic Headcount licenses https://www.mathworks.com/content/dam/mathworks/fact-sheet/2020-cwl-fact-sheet-91780v06.pdf
• Dedicated Host licenses are put on a system, typically in a lab setting, and may be used by anyone authorized to log in to the host, with the person expected to be physically at the computer console
• MOOC licenses
• network licenses, either Named User (NAU) or Floating licenses
