MATLAB 2020a extremely slowed down all of a sudden

Hi,

I am using MATLAB 2020a for more than 6 months and update when it is prompted by MATLAB itself. For the last 3 days MATLAB slowed down substantially when browsing among the folders (Current Folder Section). It is kind of weird that MATLAB seems to work just fine with runnig any code or app, however it spends more than 30 seconds for selecting a different folder?

I have read most of the answers from the forums but still struggling to figure it out.

( my OS is Windows 10)

Any help would be appriciated.

Does it have the same difficulty if your current directory is local instead of on MATLAB Drive ?

The problem is independent of the directory. I have the same difficulty for both (MATLAB drive and Local).
