I teach several university courses that use MATLAB. This year I have a visually impaired student who uses a screen reader for most computer work. MATLAB, with its many open windows, has been very difficult for him to access and use. Is there any support or workaround that might give him better access?

MATLAB Online is more suitable for users with accessibility needs as constant accessibility improvements are made on that platform.
Please see the Accessibility Statement (https://www.mathworks.com/support/accessibility.html) for further details.
There is also some documentation on the use of screen readers on various components in MATLAB Online (https://www.mathworks.com/help/matlab/matlab_env/accessibility-use-a-screen-reader-to-access-matlab.html).
Finally, a number of major keyboard shortcuts for navigating the MATLAB Online components are listed at https://www.mathworks.com/help/matlab/matlab_env/accessibility-use-keyboard-shortcuts-to-navigate-matlab.html.
