Could two rotational mechanical signals be added up/summed directly?

I am currently trying to modify the BEV model from Simscape by adding another motor in the motor&drive unit, however I have an issue on how to combine the rotational mechanical signals from both motors and input these two signals into reduction gear unit.

Based on your short description I would do as in the image below. This is often common for BEV models. The differential gear is included in Simscape Driveline.
