Can I share MATLAB Drive files with a user who does not have MATLAB license?

I would like to share a MATLAB Online/MATLAB Drive folder with a colleague and invite him to view or edit a file. Do they need access to a MATLAB license in order to be able to view or edit the file/folder in MATLAB Online? Would creating a MathWorks account be sufficient?

Anyone who has a MathWorks account irrespective of license will have 5 GB storage available on MATLAB Drive. Hence they will be able to access files that are shared with them and view it in MATLAB Drive itself.
The image below shows how the invite will show up on MATLAB Drive:
The user receiving the invite will have to copy the folder onto their drive or Add a shortcut to it. In both cases, their drive storage will be utilized. Since they have only 5 GB storage available, it will be a limitation.
If the user does not have a MATLAB license, then they will only have the option to edit the files in MATLAB Online Basic, which is limited to 20 hours per calendar month.
MATLAB Online Versions
Alternatively, you could create a publicly shareable link using the "Create Link" option which is View-only. Anyone with this link will be able to view files in this folder. This will not have a size limitation but you will not be able to track who has viewed the folder.

Now you get a 5 GB of free storage with just a MathWorks Account. For more info visit: https://www.mathworks.com/products/matlab-drive.html#explore-matlab-drive
