Plotting Too many points in scatter3

10 views (last 30 days)
Hi,
I am trying to plot 3D scatter plot which takes a lot of time. My data to be plotted are coordinates of a gear tooth(Only one gear tooth).
I want to highlight only certain points among those cooordinates. Everytime i run a scatter plot, it takes almost 2hours to complete plotting. Is there any workaround for this scatter3 ?
Thanks & Regards

In some cases, using patch() instead of scatter3() can result in faster plotting. patch() does not have markers as such, so you might have to program in lots of volume constructions to look like a marker.

@KSSV I have 3 coordinates, X,Y, and Z with which i can plot the data
@Walter Roberson Thank you. I'll try using patch()
