calculate thermal fingertip image temperature?

Hi...

I'm currently working on thermal image temperature calculation. here i have extracted fingertip of the hand and want to calculate the temperature what i have to do. can any one give me suggestion for this or give some good links

You'll need to have a reader for the file your thermal camera outputs. There is no way to get it from a gray level - you need the actual temperature numbers, not gray levels, but your thermal camera should give the image in a proprietary format file where each number (pixel value) is the temperature.
