I am trying to run save system command using python to save simulink model which already open. currently, I am using matlab 2019b. I have done below steps:
- Run matlab.engine.shareEngine('engine1') in matlab terminal.
- Run the below python script:
import matlab.engine
names = matlab.engine.find_matlab()
eng = matlab.engine.connect_matlab(names[0])
eng.save_system
Expectation is to save the already open simulink model but nothing is happening, even not getting any error. could you please provide some suggestion, is there something wrong ?

Hi,
I was facing a similar issue in MATLAB R2019b, upgrading MATLAB to the latest version helped me resolve the issue.
I hope this helps you too!!
