sending SCPI instruction with the instrumental control toolbox with matlab code

So I would like to send SCPI commands at certain instances of time, if certain cconditions are met. However, I'm not the familiar with the instrumental control toolbox and I'm not sure how to start writing code for it or even if what i'm asking is a possible request. If you could give me insight on this issue, I would greatly appritiate it.
