Finding out specific color area in image

I need to find the area of a region having a specific color by taking screenshots from a video. An example screenshot is http://postimg.org/image/6gpk9013b/

How to find the area of the spilled oil ? Also this needs to be done for multiple screenshots from a video of spilling. Can this be done simultaneously on Matlab or should I get screenshots using a different software and then upload in Matlab ?
