Why do I receive the following error:
MathWorks Licensing Error 25
Your license server does not have a license for this release of <PRODUCTNAME>.
Contact your system administrator to update the license server's license file to the latest release.

This error occurs when you try to start a version of MATLAB that is newer than the version of the license.dat file on the license server. To resolve this issue, update the license.dat file on the server to the latest release that you are licensed for.For instructions, please see the following article:
The license.dat file on the server machine is located in:
$MATLABROOT/etc (where $MATLABROOT is the MATLAB installation directory)
Once you have made changes to your license file, be sure to restart the Network License Manager for these changes to take effect. Using the re-read license feature will not work.

Stefani, this message is only for networked users. The systems administrators on the machine(s) hosting the license server are the ones who need to upgrade the license server software or update the license file.

You might possibly be able to just use lmutil lmreread but if not then first lmutil lmdown and then lmgrd
