Selectivity in a Semibatch Reactor with Multiple Reactions
Version 1.0.0 (9.89 MB) by
Clau Rangel
This was a project made with the objective of studying the behaviour of a Semibatch reactor given two reactions.
This project was made with the purpose of studying the behaviour of a Semibatch reactor in which occurs multiple reactions involving the reactants A and B. It was build to see how the effect of temperature and activation energy can modify a system where A is added to B and other in which B is added to A.
It is based on the modified exercise 6.9a) from the 4th edition of the book "Elements of Chemical Reaction Engineering" by Scott Fogler, to illustrate the behaviour of the change on the reactants over time, the change of products over time and the selectivity of the reactor according to which system is choosen and which property is varied (temperature or activation energy).
We hope that this code would be helpful.
Our best regards.
