The reference below proposes a mode pairing strategy using an enhanced modal assurance criterion based on modal strain energies. The procedure analyzed in section 3 (Mode assignment using energy-based modal assurance criterion) of this reference is programmed in this submission. This verification script verifies a specific result of section 4 (Benchmark study: cantilever truss), i.e. the fraction of the total modal strain energy of numerical eigenmode 1 that corresponds to vertical degrees of freedom, shown in Figure 7.
