In signal processing, understanding the effects of aliasing is crucial, especially when dealing with sampled signals. Aliasing occurs when a signal is sampled at a rate insufficient to accurately capture its frequency content, leading to distortion or misinterpretation of the signal. The Discrete-Time Fourier Transform (DTFT) provides valuable insights into the frequency domain representation of sampled signals and helps in identifying aliasing effects. Through this analysis, we aim to demonstrate the importance of proper sampling rates in signal processing and provide a practical understanding of aliasing phenomena in the frequency domain.The case focuses on exploring aliasing effects on sampled signals throughthelensofDiscrete-TimeFourierTransform(DTFT)analysis. It involves developing aMATLAB program to simulate and visualize aliasing phenomena for different sampling frequencies. By systematicallycomputingandcomparingtheDTFTwiththeContinuous Time Fourier Transform (CTFT), the program demonstrates the discrepanciesintroducedbyinadequatesamplingrates,highlightingthe importanceof proper signal sampling in signal processing.
