The new version of Finnee, Finnee2024, is now available. The framework is similar to Finnee 2016, creating multiple datasets after each major data transformation. However, the various steps have been rewritten for speed optimization and to fully benefit from the MS scans being recorded as profiles rather than centroids. The feature lists are obtained by first detecting the region of interest, which are two-dimensional surfaces (time x m/z) that should contain one or more chromatographic objects. The project object now allows the processing of multiple mzML files leveraging the parallel computing toolboxes. As always, the toolbox can be downloaded from GitHub and it is referenced on Zenodo (DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.1108606, https://zenodo.org/records/11086063).
