Discrete Wavelet Transform
Version 1.0.0 (1.41 KB) by
Arun Prasath
The Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT) is a powerful signal and image processing technique that decomposes a signal into different frequency c
DWT splits the input signal into:
- Approximation Coefficients (Low-Frequency Components - LL): Captures the coarse details (smooth variations).
- Detail Coefficients (High-Frequency Components - LH, HL, HH): Represents the edges, textures, and fine details in horizontal, vertical, and diagonal directions.
Each decomposition level further subdivides the approximation coefficients to extract more details, forming a pyramidal structure.
