Gas Mixture is a Simscape domain designed to handle mixtures of semi-perfect gases. It follows the same assumptions and principles as the Moist Air Domain, however, it removes the limit on the number of species and allows users to specify a mixture of any number of gas and trace species. The domain is implemented using Simscape vector variables, which allow the user to specify the species available in the mixture by changing the domain parameters.
The two types of species allowed in the domain are active and passive. Active species contribute to the overall thermodynamic properties of the mixture. This can include condensation within specified temperature ranges. Passive, or trace species, on the other hand, do not contribute to the thermodynamics of the mixture. Instead, they are intended to be used to track small concentrations of substances around the network.
This repository contains a domain with blocks equivalent to the Simscape Foundation Library for Moist Air. The source code is open, enabling users to extend and develop their own components to achieve greater functionality.
In addition, a number of examples are included to illustrate key use cases for this domain.
