A nanogrid is a small-scale power system (typically < 10 kW) supplying local DC and/or AC loads using distributed energy sources such as solar PV.A Dual Active Bridge (DAB) converter acts as the main isolated bidirectional power interface between the PV/battery bus and the AC/DC load bus.a solar-powered nanogrid integrating MPPT, a Dual Active Bridge (DAB) converter, and an ANN-based phase-shift controller for efficient DC–AC power delivery. The ANN optimizes DAB power transfer under varying solar irradiance, improving dynamic response and conversion efficiency. A full-day irradiance profile and SPWM inverter feeding AC loads are simulated in MATLAB/Simulink. Results show stable operation and higher efficiency compared to conventional PI- and P&O-based control methods, making the system suitable for compact renewable nanogrid applications.
