The program will read the scanned image of the bank cheque and read the cheque number

The program is designed to extract and read the cheque number of a bank cheque. The number will be first cropped from the cheque and then all six digits of the number will be cut individually for the purpose of comparing. The sample images are used for comparing. All six digits are compared against the sample images and the best match will be considered as the number in the image. The cheque number will be then assigned to a variable and displayed
To run the program all images in the zipped file are needed. Type the name of the m file (cutCheque) in the matlab command prompt and run it the 'pause statement is used to pause the execution in significant stages "PRESS ANY KEY TO CONTINUE WHEN PAUSED"
