Divide an arbitrary curve into pieces along the curve without coordinate dependency. Example script file generating the title screen shot shows below:

%spiral of Archimedes
a=1;
t=0:0.2:20; % theta
r=a*t; % r
x = r.*cos(t);
y = r.*sin(t);
z = t;
% polar(t,r,'-or');
subplot(1,2,1);
plot3(x,y,z,'-r');axis equal;
grid on;
[xx,yy,zz] = CurveSliceHomogenize3D(x,y,z,400);
hold on;
plot3(xx,yy,zz,'-*k');axis equal;
title('spiral of Archimedes');
