Impulse Generator

It can generates impulse from 1 kV DC source.

This system can produce voltage impulse of 5 kV from 1 kV DC source. The system is consists of capacitor and thyristor valves. By charging capacitors in parallel and discharging them in series can produce impulse voltage of very high value. This Simulation is helpful for studying the characteristics of Impulse voltage and also act as an impulse voltage source for testing the insulator used in the various equipment in the power systems.
