An excellent function making use of MATLAB's built in 'gong' command. Simply enter the number of times you wish to hear the gong sound (N) and this function will play it at random pitches. The first 20 are quiet unless you choose a number less than 20, in which case a random number less than N/3 is chosen to be quiet. Then the next ones are really loud! Great for MATLAB pranks. This function sometimes causes MATLAB to crash. It is unclear why but it may be an audio driver issue in the call to the sound() function. May improve this in later versions.
