Poisson's equation is solved for a heterogeneous medium with varying conductivity.
In electrical resistivity tomography, forward problem involves solving Poisson's equation to find electrical potential when conductivity and exciting currents are known. This program employs finite difference method to solve the equation and calculates the electric potential. Any suggestion on optimization will be appreciated.
