Wavelet-based Image Fusion
These are codes for 3D image fusion using the wavelet-based approach (Aganj et al, MRM 2012). This is especially useful for fusion of an MRI acquisition that is divided into (two or) three separate scans, with higher in-plane resolutions and thick slices, yet orthogonal slice-selection directions.
The function fuseVolW_multi.m takes three volumes Vx, Vy, and Vz, which have a low resolution in the X, Y, and Z directions, respectively, and high resolutions in the other two directions, and returns the fused volume.
