Interfacing a Frequency Counter to a desktop calculator or computer was one of the first important integrations of measurement hardware with computing hardware. In fact, this marriage was so important, in 1968 HP introduced the HP 5360A "Computing Counter" that had the moral equivalent of a desktop calculator built in. It was an amazing machine for its day. Fast forward 50+ years and here we are with measurement and computing capabilities that nearly anyone can afford. This application supports the HP 5334a, 5335a, and 5370a/b counters as well as USB / GPIB adapters from NI and Agilent.
