Vehicle Longitudinal Dynamics, Acceleration Performance and Fuel Consumtion

This project is done while attending Motor Vehicle Design course in Politecnico di Torino. It describes the longitudinal dynamics of a vehicle given its characteristics along with power computations using a given engine map. After that, the choice of gear ratios is accomplished through empirical equations and the application of vehicle dynamics. Eventually, the acceleration performance of the vehicle is tested along with its fuel consumption.
