IOT Based Remote Monitoring System for Hypertension Disease

Blood Pressure Measurement with Photoplethysmography (PPG) + Pulse Transit Time (PTT) technique and embedded with IOT application

You are now following this Submission

Hypertensive patient required commute to hospital regularly for blood pressure monitoring. Conventional method cause numbness. This project deployed Photoplethysmography (PPG) signals (fingertip;earlobe) processed within MATLAB R2019a software combined with Pulse Transit Time (PTT) technique. It displayed blood pressure in systolic and diastolic on ThingSpeak webpage (physician) and ThingView application (patient). PPG measured 10 times before and after exercise (20 minutes) from subject (23 years old). There is correlation between PTT and blood pressure (standard error = ±0.006) and it would rise in presence of motion artifact. This project capable to measure blood pressure in distant, hence, advance healthcare technology.
