This model has been employed for doing trade-off analysis for the communication between LEO satellites for Earth observation and ground stations. In particular, the model serves to compute the time required to repoint the satellite's antenna from one ground station to the subsequent ground station when their visibility zones overlap.

The model allows for simulating the dynamics of the satellite flying over the specified ground stations and reports on all the relevant quantities with detailed 2D and 3D plots.
