Description

SimulationX is Keysight’s multi-domain system simulation software. It is used for modeling, analyzing, and optimizing complex, dynamic, nonlinear systems across a variety of industrial applications and products, with a strong focus in automotive, machinery and transportation applications.

In SimulationX, simulation models are defined interactively through a very user-friendly GUI. Ready-to-use model elements can be selected from a variety of domain-specific libraries.

SimulationX uses familiar element symbols and design- and physics-defined input quantities. It is generically based on the Modelica language. For ease-of-use the object-oriented models and user-defined elements can be created through a graphically interactive assistant called the TypeDesigner. SimulationX is available in German and English.

SimulationX can interoperate with MATLAB® and Simulink® through C code export to Simulink, co-simulation with MATLAB and Simulink, and FMU code import from Simulink Coder™.

C code export to Simulink transfers the functionality of a complete SimulationX model into source code for an S-function (or FMU). A wizard guides the user through all necessary steps, such as defining the inputs, outputs, and parameters for the S-function. The co-simulation function uses an S-function to connect Simulink with SimulationX. The S-function’s parameters define the communication link to SimultionX. On the SimulationX side, appropriate sender and receiver blocks complete the coupling.

DLL integration of MATLAB DLLs can be used to incorporate MATLAB functions and algorithms in SimulationX. DLLs created by MATLAB Compiler™ can be integrated into SimulationX through an external function.

Its FMU import enables SimulationX to integrate FMUs generated by the Simulink FMU Builder.
