NASA's Spacecraft Power Capability Model and Applications Using MATLAB

Hector Hernandez, NASA Johnson Space Center

After NASA's successful uncrewed test flight of the Orion spacecraft's 1.4 million mile journey to the moon and back, the Artemis I mission has now set the stage for the next mission to fly crew around the moon on Artemis II, enabling human space exploration to the moon and beyond. This presentation provides a brief mission overview of Artemis I, as well as the Spacecraft Power Capability tool created with MATLAB® to analyze the Orion spacecraft’s electrical power system, its purpose and applications, current and future uses, and other tools used to support hardware and mission-level design.
