Specify author name for Polyspace Platform project

Description

Specify an author name for the current Polyspace Platform project.

Set Option

Set the option using one of these methods:

• Polyspace Platform user interface (desktop products only): In your project configuration, enter an author name for this option on the Project tab.

• Command line: Use the option -author. See Command-Line Information.

• Python^® API: Set the Author property of the project. See polyspace.project.Project.

Why Use This Option

Use this option to identify the project author in analysis logs and reports.

Settings

Enter an author name. If you do not specify an author name, the analysis uses the username of the operating system account that runs the analysis as the author. If the analysis runs on a server or under a service account, this username can differ from your own.

Command-Line Information

Parameter: -author

Value: authorName

Example (Bug Finder): polyspace-bug-finder -sources filename -author "John Smith"

Example (Code Prover): polyspace-code-prover -sources filename -author "John Smith"
