Why do I get error 624 when trying to update my license through MATLAB?

I am trying to update its license from MATLAB by selecting Help, Licensing, and Update Current License. After I clicked Update button, I got an error:

 Error 624: We were unable to complete your request. Contact MathWorks for assistance at <http://www.mathworks.com/support/contact_us/>

How do I update my license file?

This error message will occur if none of the activations on the license match your computer attributes. This can be due to OS or hardware changes on that computer.

To work around the issue, open MATLAB and select Help, Licensing, Activate Software instead.
