Can I do root import mapping for a Simulink model which uses a reference config set?

I would like to do root inport mapping for my Inport blocks, and my model uses a reference config set. I see that the option in Config Parameters > Data Import/Export is not available with this config set, but when I double click on my inport blocks I can still do root inport mapping. Will this work?

Root inport mapping is not currently supported for models which use reference config sets. For more information about reference config sets, see the following blog post:

As a workaround, we recommend the following:

1. Convert the reference config set to non-reference config set (associated with model file rather than stored separately)
2. Use a From File or Signal Editor block instead of root inport mapping.
