Find beta parameters from data

Hi, I have a 600x1 data and I need to get beta distribution parameters (alpha, beta) from it. The data varies from numbers -6 to 6. Can anybody help?

It's telling me that the values should be in between 0 and 1. How should I normalize it? The data's values are between -7 and 7.
