In my project I need to open and process TDMS files (from LabView) with Matlab (R2022a). Therefore I want to use the new functions from the Data Acquisition Tool Box. But at the very start I get error messages which I do not understand. The code is very short and looks like this:
clc
clear all
fileName = "OR_measurement_1.tdms";
info = tdmsinfo(fileName);
When I try to run the code I get this error message:
Error using TDMS_to_Mat
Channel Group Property name does not exist.
This also happens when I use 'tdmsread(fileName)'.
I just want to access the data and process it.
How can I solve this problem?

Hi Gregor, I am experiencing the same issue for TDMS files output by LabView 2017, but it runs fine for files from LabView 2019 for me. Out of curiousity, what version of LabView are you using?

I'm running into the same issue. I'm using Labview's DAQ Assistant and writting the data to a TDMS file.
When I try and open the tdms file in matlab I get the same error:
"Channel Group Property name does not exist."
When I open the tdms file in excel viewer. I see the Group has a name "Temperatrue"
and the Group has 1 channel,
Channel: "Amplitude"
I can't find what matlab is having issues with.
Can you elaborate on how you fixed the problem?
