Why do I get "Cannot locate a valid install area" when trying to execute an application created with MATLAB Compiler on an Apple Silicon Mac?

Make sure of the following:
  1. There is only 1 version of MATLAB Compiler installed.
  2. The release of MATLAB Compiler installed is the correct version for the compiled application. Ask the person who compiled it which release of MATLAB they compiled it for.
  3. Rosetta 2 is installed. This is necessary since MATLAB Compiler does not natively support Apple Silicon Macs in R2023a and earlier.
