Is it possible to run MATLAB interactively on a HPC compute node?

When running MATLAB interactively on an HPC compute node, the biggest point to consider is whether you can or want to display MATLAB Desktop. MATLAB does not require the Desktop to be displayed when running MATLAB interactively, it can be used from the command-line. However, not all functionality is available when the MATLAB Desktop cannot be displayed, which should be kept in mind.
Alternatively, MATLAB can be run on a compute node with its Desktop displayed via Open OnDemand. Please reach out to the Installation and Licensing team if you need instructions or information on how to achieve this.
