Why do I receive "An Error Occurred (Error 202)" when updating MATLAB?

This error will occur if the process used to detect for locked or used files is not working. Please make sure that any antivirus software is disabled, MATLAB is closed, or that any other process is not trying to use MATLAB's installation files.
Please contact MathWorks Support if you receive this error message. Please send them your installation log file while contacting them.
Where are the Installation, Activation, & Service Host log files located for MATLAB?
